TANGO JUVENILE CARNIVAL CLUB - HISTORY

The club was originally formed in 1994 and its first entry was entitled 

"The Little Mermaid"  which proved to be extremely successful picking up 

several wins on the East Devon Circuit and the Youth Challenge Trophy.

Some doubt was cast however as to the clubs future in Carnival as fundraising was 

proving to be very difficult, so the club didn't compete in the 1995 Carnival season.

In 1996 Tango was saved after a merger with Sidmouth Carnival Club. Sidmouth on 

their own had a string of successes with their first entry "Fantasy of Chess" in 1995.

Since joining forces these two highly successful clubs have gone from strength to 

strength with entries in 1996 - "Follow the Rainbow",1997 - "Alexander Graham Bell", 

1998 - "Polariceation", 1999 - "Hell Raisers", 2000 -"Jungle Fever", 

2001 - "Star Movies", 2002 - "Christmas" 2003 - "Catch A Wave (U.S.A) 

2004 - "Creepy Christmas", 2005 - "Mars Attack" 2006 - "Ice FX" and this year 2007 "Abracadabra"

Ice FX has proved to be the clubs best year to date winning the East Devon Circuit obtaining maximum points a feat that hasn't been acheived before.
This year the club have competed on the South Somerset Federation Circuit.
